Bottom Line: Your W-Wing solution is correct. I posted this puzzle as a "fun" XY-level puzzle.

It was certainly fun! As often happens, I found a longish chain instead of a short-and-sweet wing. I guess it counts as an XY chain, if you don't mind the strong link on one end.
