Just a foolish solution here, a case of finding what you look for.
1. x-wing 4
2. x-wing 8
3. 7s: r3c8=r1c9-r7c9=r7c2 =>r3c2<>7
Leaves this position for an all-oddagon finish:
Code: | *--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| 5 247 6 | 1 247 9 | 3 8 47 |
| 47 9 1 | 478 3 78 | 2 6 5 |
| 3 24 8 | 567 2467 2567 | 9 47 1 |
|----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
|*67 4678 237 | 9 24678 1 | 5 347 *67+4 |
| 4678 1 37 | 34678 5 678 | 67 2 9 |
| 9 4567 2357 | 367 2467 267 | 1 347 8 |
|----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
| 1 *67 4 | 2 9 3 | 8 5 67 |
|*67+8 3 57 | 5678 1 5678 | 4 9 2 |
| 2 5678 9 | 567 678 4 | 67 1 3 |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------* |
4. (67)oddagon with a pause:
(8)r8c1=(4)r4c9-(4=7)r1c9-r1c2=r2c1-(7=6)r4c1 =>r8c1<>67
5. (47)oddagon r1c29, r36c8, r6c2
(5)r6c2=(2)r1c2-(2=4)r3c2 =>r6c2<>4
'Course, could have gone all w-wing, but how odd would that have been? |

Luke, nice oddagon -and nice MUG elsewhere!
Fwiw, the two (67) bivalues are in a sort of w-wing loop which makes lots of eliminations... from Luke's grid...
Code: | w-wing-looped (6=7)r4c1 - r2c1=r1c2 - (7=6)r8c2 - r8c9=r4c9 - loop ; r46c2<>67, r8c1<>67, r4c5<>6, r9c2<>7 |
(Still need a wing or something to finish)
So not odd but loopy! |
