My solver is down while I debug the chain() routine, so I worked my way through this puzzle with the help of Simple Sudoku. My contribution to the solution should be obvious.

Code:
 after X-Wing on <7> and Colors/Skyscraper on <3>
 +--------------------------------------------------------------+
 |  1     5     68    |  4     7     2     |  68    9     3     |
 |  2     4     68    |  19    19    3     |  5     7     68    |
 |  7     39    39    |  5     8     6     |  14    2     14    |
 |--------------------+--------------------+--------------------|
 |  3     69    2     |  19    4     8     |  16    5     7     |
 |  469   7     49    |  3     5     19    |  2     8     16    |
 |  5     8     1     |  6     2     7     |  3     4     9     |
 |--------------------+--------------------+--------------------|
 | *489   1    *479   | *78    6     5     | *489   3     2     |
 |  4689  369   5     |  2     39    49    |  7     1     48    |
 | *489   2    *479+3 | *78    139   149   | *489   6     5     |
 +--------------------------------------------------------------+
 # 45 eliminations remain

 <4789> in [band 3]  =>  r9c3=3

 Colors/Kite  =>  r8c6<>9

That was one of the most enjoyable puzzles I've played in a while, even though I may have overcomplicated things.

X-Wing (7), didn't seem to do much
Fin Transport; r8c9<>3 did a lot of damage
W-Wing (39) in r3c2 and r8c5 using three SL's on 9; r8c2<>3
Simple Coloring; r8c6<>9

Very nice Type 1 uniqueness pattern, aka pMUG+1.
