Sorry, I forgot to save my post-basics grid. But there was a potential DP on 26 in b45. The killers were a pseudo cell in c2 which combined with other cells in c2 for a 389 triple; r2c2=6. The other killer was a 5 in r5c6; r1c6=6. The pincers of 6 set r1c1, r2c5<>6. After cleanup therefrom:

Code:

+---------------+-----------+---------+
| 4    1   79   | 5   2  6  | 3  8 79 |
| 789  6   2    | 89  1  3  | 5  4 79 |
| 389  5   389  | 489 48 7  | 2  1 6  |
+---------------+-----------+---------+
| 189  89  4    | 7   6  2  | 19 5 3  |
| 6    2   39   | 1   34 5  | 49 7 8  |
| 135  7   135  | 34  9  8  | 14 6 2  |
+---------------+-----------+---------+
| 2    38  157  | 38  57 4  | 6  9 15 |
| 1589 389 1589 | 6   38 19 | 7  2 4  |
| 1579 4   6    | 2   57 19 | 8  3 15 |

How did you get to that grid? As I mentioned, I used a DP. Was it not needed? Did I not take basics far enough? Or did you play a move that you didn't mention?

I just use lc/ls moves highest was a triple. I noticed one move you had not made in your grid was removig some 5's from block 7 (all the 5's in row 8 are in b7. I will work up a list if you need it.

Thanks, I did it again on Draw/Play and basics took me to the one-stepper XY-Wing. However, I did like my DP move, even though it shouldn't have been there. Very Happy
