This one was a real cracker- very few basics and hard for me to see all the
way through (though I expect Dan or George will come up with a one-stepper).

I solved it by what I call almost an xy wing- to wit if r6c6 is not 5 the an xy wing 257 pivoted at r9c6 leads to the aforesaid r6c6 becoming 7 so r6c6 is either 5 or 7 and not 2.
This gives the same result as the "hybrid xy wing" though it uses slightly different elements and in particular not r8c6 yet the two logics lead to the same conclusion! |

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the W-WING ON 57 does IT, although I haven't tested thoroughly. |

I agree with hughwill's 2 stepper. It also took me a long time to solve this puzzle.
The x-wing makes the xyz wing available straight away before going ahead with a second round of basics. |
