This is a partially solved puzzle from brainbashers. As it is Draw/Play grades it very hard but can solve it with three "advanced" moves I agree with them all , but cannot see the "rules" used |

I used four moves, X-Wings on 8 and 4 and XY-Wings on 68-2 and 48-5.

9r2c1=(9-4)r2c2=(4-8)r3c3=(8-5)r4c3=5r4c1 => -9r4c1; ste
I thought I Understood the notation but I need a primer on it. Can anyone help? |

If r2c1 is not 9, then r2c2 is a 9 and if that cell is not 4, then r3c3 is a 4 and if it's not an 8 then r4c3 is an 8 and if it's not 5 then r4c1 is a 5.
To summarize, If r2c1 is not a 9, then r4c1 is a 5. if r2 c1 is a 9 then r4c1 cannot be=9.
