and then needed the 18-2 XY-Wing to polish it off. I can't see any more

Entirely correct. The absence of all those 3s makes it a basics only. I wonder
if this happens when there's a box-line interaction and a VH solution (the XY-wing) at
the same time and the software gives the VH solution precendence. I've
noticed that there are few if any wings in non VH puzzles.....
