After the 11th move I was stuck. The online hint suggested a 1 in r9c6.
Is there a logical explanation for this hint?
Of course, placing a 1 in the other possible cell r9c5 results in a conflict of having only a pair {56} for 3 (!) cells in row 9, but for me it taste a little bit to much like trial and error...

My notes show that 3 of the cells in row 9 are attacked by 1,2 and 9 so it "factors into 129 (in 3 cells) and 567in the other 3 hence the 1!
I hope my terse note has allowed me to give the valid argument! |
