OK, I see that eliminating the "2" from R3C4 solves it, but how did you know to eliminate the "2". Was it a try one and if that doesn't work, it's the other one? |

This is all about patterns and how they link
r13c16 is almost a <35> UR and would be an actual one if you could eliminate <1> from r1c1 and <2> from r3c6
The links between the <1>s in c3 and the <2>s in c4 do this
Another way to describe this:
If b=1 then c<>1, d=1
If b=1 then b<>2, a=2
So b must be <2> as a=2 and d=1 produce the <35> UR |
